I preferred the approach of private sale rather than auction. I also appreciated there being a zero marketing fee.

I selected First National Waverley City because I had noticed in the preceding year that the agency was achieving a good clearance rate on properties for sale in my immediate area. In addition Jessica (Chea) had been door knocking in our street. We had an agreeable conversation and I formed the impression that she was knowledgeable and professional and would take care of her clients.

I preferred the approach of private sale rather than auction. I also appreciated there being a zero marketing fee.

Jessica indicated a selling price range which was higher than I had contemplated, but I agreed with trying for that price, and it was initially advertised at an even higher price. The property was on the market for a bit over 3 months. During that period Jessica encouraged me to stay positive about selling at the price and not be tempted to reduce the price, or at least not until the very end and if really necessary to secure a sale. The actual price achieved was within the initial indicated range so she was ‘spot on’ with her evaluation of the market.

Overall the experience was first class, with everything being handled very efficiently and with adequate explanation. In the early part of the sale period I would have liked more timely feedback on the number of parties who had inspected the property and what their reaction had been, but communication increased and Jessica was in regular contact with me. It was this personal touch, in addition to continually attempting to get the best price possible, that made the experience stand out for me. It was so much better than my previous experiences of selling my home.

I would definitely recommend First National Waverley City to other vendors.
